The Festival Programme     

The festival will be launched on Friday 4th October where students attending the weekend workshops will benefit from the wisdom and tutelage of eminent figures of the Traditional World.

 

The official opening will take place on Friday October 4th at 9pm.  There will be music and refreshments on the night provided by members of the Ballindine Branch of Comhaltas. 

 

On Saturday 5th October at 9.30am until 2pm, workshops will take place in Ballindine National School for fiddle, whistle/flute, concertina, button accordion, banjo and harp. 

 

The festival concert will take place on Saturday evening, 5th October at 8.30pm in St. Joseph’s Church Ballindine. Featuring festival tutors and guests, the concert will also give prominence to members of the Ballindine Comhaltas Branch who are hosting the event. 

 

The weekend will draw to a close on Sunday morning with an Irish Mass celebrated at 10.30am in the local Church followed with a final session in the Ballindine Community Centre. 

 

A series of evening sessions will also run from Friday October 4th to Saturday October 5th in local pubs in Ballindine from 9.30pm each night.
